Marsol proposes the creation of a single tax agency with possible headquarters in Andorra la Vella

The Democrats' territorial candidate for the capital

contemplates the project for this legislature

ANDORRA LA VELLA The number one candidate for the territorial list of Andorra la Vella, ConxitaMarsol, has proposed the creation of a single tax agency this Sunday in statements in Plaça Lídia Armengol. "We have held several meetings with the commons and I believe that this legislature is the time to create it" pointed out Marsol while assuring that this body must not increase fiscal pressure "but speed up and facilitate everything related to management procedures tax".

In this sense, the candidate of the party headed by Xavier Espot, has advanced that, as had been discussed previously, a possible strategic location for the institution would be Andorra la Vella. "It is the parish where most of the population and the country's businesses are located. Therefore, I think that being centralized would facilitate mobility," Marsol emphasized. However, the Democratic candidate has insisted that it is an aspect that, in any case, "will have to be discussed with all the commons, as we cannot rush either".

On the other hand, Marsol - who has admitted that he took a position in favor of this issue years ago - recalled that previous meetings had already been held with the communes on the creation of a single tax agency, but that they would have to resume the conversations to talk to everyone and see what is the best way to make it possible. "We talked to the commons of DA, who at the moment are the majority of this country, and I think they are for the work" stated Marsol while adding that, if the ultimate objective must be to collect the taxes from one and the other, in principle none of the corporations would oppose it.

Marsol has insisted on the fact that the tax pressure will not increase despite the creation of the single tax agency. "Yes, it is true that we will be looking to increase social security contributions progressively in accordance with the various sectors, workers and employers" announced the number one DA candidate. "We will have to talk about it, but we all know that this is an issue that affects the sustainability of the pension system," he added.

Regarding the distribution of the taxes, Marsol has pointed out that "it should not be divided in %" but in relation to the amount that corresponds to each one, but always respecting the maximum rates allowed by law. "From my point of view, it is the first point that must be respected if we want the consensus of the commons," the DA candidate for the capital made it clear.
